Story

Throughout August and September, we want to complete the world’s longest continuous walking route, as a team, remotely. This means just under 14,000 miles of walking, running, cycling, swimming, or a mixture of all four!

ABOUT THE CHALLENGE

Whilst it’s pretty impossible to complete this walk ‘in real life’, the original route starts in Cape Town, travels through Tanzania, Egypt and Turkey, before finally ending up in Russia.

Over the course of two months, we are going to work as a team to complete all 14,000 miles. This could be clocking up miles at the gym, an after work run, weekend swim or cycle, or even a lunchtime walk with colleagues.

WHY?

The PALS and Mental Health and Wellbeing forums have come together to create a challenge that gets us out and about, gets us active, and gets us working as a team - all whilst raising money for two fantastic charities.

THE CHARITIES

We’ll be splitting all money raised between two charities - The Lighthouse Club and Construction Youth Trust.

The Lighthouse Club is the only charity that provides emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to construction workers and their families.

Construction Youth Trust is a charity whose aim is to inspire and enable young people to overcome barriers and discover a career in the construction, and built environment sector.
