I am going to run the Liverpool Marathon for children who I know personally need some extra help. These are the kids who come to school hungry, stay off on non-uniform days because they don't have any clothes they won't get skitted at for wearing and don't have a change of school shirt.They can't go to prom, they don't get days out and their lives and futures are pretty miserable to be honest.

I am trying to raise £500 to give to a good friend of mine, who is a welfare officer in a school, to help these vulnerable young people. I don't want her to beg for money, fill out a form or measure the impact, I just want her to help these kids. They are kids from Merseyside, our kids and in 2017 they still need our help. The money won't go on paying wages, plush offices or expenses - it will go directly to where it is needed.

The 26.2 miles are going to be the hardest physical thing I have ever done but I won't let them down. I would love to see as many of you as possible on the route to cheer me along. To give you a clue how far it actually is, it is from mine to Formby!

Please give whatever you can because every pound counts. The poem "Cause i aint got a pencil" resonated with me last week and sums up why I have chosen to raise money for the children who have the least.
