They did it!!!! Please donate to show your support.....

On Sunday 2nd July 2017 Oscar (8) and Reuben (10) will be attempting to cycle the length for Scotland. Over 400 miles from the Mull of Galloway to Dunnet Head supported by their fiercest protector Dad.

Two years ago Reuben (then 8) cycled coast to coast from Oban to Montrose and this time he's upped the challenge and is joined by his little brother.

The plan was to raise funds to help improve the playground at their small rural school (which has less than 20 pupils) to make it a safe and exciting environment to play in but just a couple of weeks before the trip was planned they received the devastating news that one of the pupils in the school nursery, Carson, had a tumour found in his brain which has turned out to be cancerous.

Carson's big sisters are also in the school and they are like extended family to them so they wanted to donate to help the family whilst Carson undergoes an extensive treatment programme in Edinburgh 90 miles away, taking him and his mum away from the rest of his family on and off for the next year.

The challenge will be tough as it is planned over only a week using a fairly convoluted route to make it as safe as possible for the boys. They will still be however cycling almost 80 miles some days and still having to navigate some really busy roads around the main cities and along popular tourist routes. There will also be some serious climbs as some of the steep hills are unavoidable.

It would be a test for most adults to complete, never mind two young lads, but they are determined they will do it, and let's just hope that Dad can keep up!
