SYNOPSIS

“Wes and Tom sit patiently in their freezing rust bucket, waiting for their target to be confirmed. But the elephant in the room is getting restless and it seems a stampede may be fast approaching”

With COVID-19 taking its toll on the creative arts and its artists, a group of Berkshire filmmakers are pulling together to create a tense, action packed thriller. The only way that we can keep the arts alive is by making what we can, safely and securely. But that comes with costs.

WAITING GAME is brought to you by award winning production company Aukes Media. Starring Charlie Parker-Swift, Stefano Campodifiori and Ben Ashton, this short film written and directed by Sam Chapman will have you chuckling one minute and holding your breath the next.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR

Sam Chapman has been directing film for over 6 years, working in all areas of the industry, all over the world. Originally he trained as an actor with the National Youth Theatre and Rose Bruford learning valuable skills that he would then translate to his filmmaking. Sam has since been working for production company Aukes Media creating engaging content for a variety of companies and individuals.

Your contribution to WAITING GAME film is meaningful in these critical ways:

- COVID-19 Costs: WE WANT EVERYONE SAFE. PPE for all cast and crew and sanitation.

- Equipment: Fortunately between our DOP, Focus Puller and Gaffer we have an extensive range of kit available for this production. However while trying to stay frugal with our equipment needs, there are a few additional bits that need to be rented to complete the film.

- Transportation & Food: Any necessary reimbursement for cast and crew traveling from out of town. As well as, ensuring everyone is provided quality meals, snacks, and beverages.

- Film Festival Fees: The beauty of independent filmmaking is submitting your film into the festival circuit to gain exposure and distribution. There is also the prospect of getting enough exposure to turn this short into a full-length feature someday.

- Cast and Crew Payment – all artists deserve to be paid for their work. Although the current budget doesn’t allocate enough for fair compensation for our cast and crew. Our dream would be to exceed our crowdfunding budget to raise enough money to give everyone on this film some form of compensation.

Josh is an experienced DOP with extensive background in commercials, where he had his first collaboration working with Sam Chapman. His latest short SAMARITAN was nominated for Best Cinematography at the Southern Shorts Awards and a feature version is currently in development.
