I am requesting for your help as I would like to participate in raising money purchase a building for the purpose of worship (Masjid) for muslims in our town. I am currently living in a place called Newark on Trent, a small town in Nottinghamshire. There is a growing diverse muslim community in Newark. However there is no place of worship or community centre. With the lack of facilities for muslims in Newark, the we have decided to raise funds to purchase a building to establish community centre. Recently from Ramadan 2018 a temporary rent free premises is being used on a short term basis to perform daily prayers.Through our efforts to date we have raised in the region of £20,000. The money has been raised through collections at Friday Prayers and donations from the community. At the rate that we are going it will take a long time before we collect enough money to purchase a building. An amount of £10000 and then add that into the funds needed to help us get to our main goal to purchase a building for a masjid. Jazakallah.
