I've raised £2000 to Help Jack get to the World Association of Kickboxing Organisation Championships

Jack goes to Venice (we hope!)
Jack is almost 11 years old. His father died when he was just seven years old of a rare form of leukemia, leaving both Jack and his mum, my friend; Leanne devastated. They both struggled with their grief and one way of helping them cope was to continue with Jack's involvement at his local Kickboxing club in Bristol that his father used to take him to.
Over the last four years Jack has continued to progress and I think his father would be extremely proud to know that he has been selected to represent Team GB at the World Association of Kickboxing Organisation (WAKO) Championships in September. I met Leanne during our time as Games Makers at the London 2012 Olympics and we became good friends. It was heartbreaking when her husband died and to see a little boy lose his dad so young. With your help maybe Jack could one day be an Olympic champion.
These championships are taking place between 16-23 September in Venice and of course there is a significant cost involved. Jack's place on the team will cost £845 and for his mum to accompany him it will cost £765. A combined total of £1610. To raise this amount would be amazing but to be able to give them a little spending money to help them as well I have set the target to £2000. I do hope I have not been too optimistic. All donations, no matter how small will help to send Jack to Venice.
Thank you for reading Jack's story.
