I've raised £1000 to help fund Walbottle Festival 2022 to celebrate Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee and Hadrian's Wall 1900.

Hello everyone.
Over the past couple of years our lives have been hit hard by Covid-19 and lockdowns. We have spent many months behind our own front doors in total and partial isolation, unable to see loved ones, friends and neighbours. But now it is time to get out and enjoy a weekend of celebrations with Walbottle Village Festival 2022.
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the accession to the throne of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. To celebrate this historic occasion Walbottle Village will be holding events over the bank holiday weekend from 2nd to 5th of June. With a beacon lighting ceremony on Thursday, a clean up of the Orchard on Friday (as our contribution to Her Majesty's green canopy), a street party /fete on Saturday and a Jubilee picnic on the Sunday, with the Grand Finish of the Jubilee weekend being a big Thankyou from the Residents of the Village to all the Keyworkers who have kept the country running throughout the Pandemic.
Also running for the whole year is the Hadrian's Wall 1900 Celebration. For this we would love to launch a series of events to raise awareness of the Roman Heritage within our Village. To enable us to do this we need your help to raise funds. £1000 will go a long way to helping the Walbottle Village Tenants & Residents Association and the Walbottle Village Institute Trustees to jointly fund the festivities throughout the year for the benefit of all in the Village.
Will you give generously to help us spread camaraderie and community spirit during this unique year.
Thankyou very much.
