Archie (my 12 year old son) and I are hoping to raise money for Emily Ward and her children Alfie and Poppy.

Emily was sadly diagnosed with stage three triple negative breast cancer back in 2018, bravely fought and had the amazing news that she was cancer free and finished her chemotherapy in November 2019 💗

A few months ago Emily had to attend a breast clinic routine check up and Emily received the news that her breast cancer had returned. This time stage 4 and spread from her breast to her lungs and brain. Emily has received radiotherpy two weeks ago and also started weekly chemotherapy then too. The impact of this news for anyone is very hard to digest. Let alone being a 37 year old mother of two children under 12. Emily’s positivity through this is inspirational and I want to show her how well loved and supported she is in this journey.

Archie and I are going to walk to Wales from our home in Nailsea. Think it will be about 25 miles. We want to fund raise for Emily so that we can build a fund which can be used for counselling for them all. The waiting lists are four to six months plus on the NHS and this is too long when the children need help now. I would also like to raise money for memory boxes for the children and get some keep sake films made of Emily’s existing still media.

We are going to do this on Saturday 3rd September 2022. Anyone who wishes to join us for some of it or all of it would be most welcome and support gratefully received 💗
