Imagine a picturesque Saturday afternoon at an Ipswich Wanderers home Isthmian League match. The sun is shining, the crowd and the bar is buzzing with excitement, and the atmosphere is electric. Amidst all the action, our programme designer and dedicated volunteer, Chris Chenery can be seen tirelessly, getting his daily steps in, selling 50/50 tickets to support our beloved club - you might’ve noticed him gently encouraging people to have a go - you’ve got to be in it to win it after all!

On 17th February, Chris is going above and beyond to make a difference. Wanderers are playing away at Stowmarket Town FC, and he will embark on an astounding 14.5-mile (Edit: 16th February - now actually more likely to be 15.5 miles!) walk from The Doucy to Greens Meadow. Why? To raise funds for crucial improvement works at The Doucy and to support our charity partner, ActivLives.

The improvement works at The Doucy are essential to achieve our ground grading by 31st March. If we fail to meet this deadline, regardless of our performance on the pitch, we will face relegation. The consequences are dire, and we need your help to secure our continued success and your continued enjoyment of the Isthmian League and competing at that level.

Not only will your donation contribute to maintaining our position at this level, but it will also support our incredible charity partner, ActivLives. Their dedication to improving local communities through physical activity is commendable, and we are proud to stand by their side and raise much needed funds for them also.

Chairman Stephen Boyle has already pledged his support by joining Chris on the walk, demonstrating his commitment to getting the ground grading completed. We invite you to join them as well, in solidarity, and to be part of something truly extraordinary.
