Beth was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when she was 2 years old. She can test her own blood sugar as well as inserting a canulla approx every 2-3 days in ger abdomen. at the age of 7 Beth can count carbohydrates and can adjust accordingly to ensure her blood sugars stay controlled. She has decided to use her fitbit ⌚️ snd she would like people to “walk in her footsteps” and will walk 1 million steps in three months.

The New Lanarkshire group offer support to families within Lanarkshire living with type 1 diabetes. These events are free for the families to attend however the group need to raise funds throughout the year to ensure this can go ahead. .
