I'm raising £150 to support Men's Mental Health

Story

Thanks for checking out our JustGiving page. Mens mental health is so important to support because 75% of suicide deaths are men. Men under the age of 50 are more at risk of dying from this than any other illness. But men are less likey to seek support from the health services or through therapy.
This is why We are raising money for Walk and Talk Suffolk which is a community led peer support group for Men's Mental Health.

The group meet every other Sunday for a walk , a free coffee and an opportunity to talk about what matters. We have helped and supported dozens of Men for over 2 years now and our group has grown significantly in numbers.
All money raised goes directly back to supporting your community. We are looking to continue to promote the group so others, who may need us, know about our support and we hope to continue to be able to offer members a free drink when they attend. This is a helpful incentive to get men who need support to turn in up the first place, and the walking and talking does the rest.

Don't underestimate how important and beneficial it is that there is somewhere where men can meet for a coffee, walk with others and be able to talk about how they feel. We have shown this helps cope with loneliness, grief, anxiety and depression.
So if you could spare a few pounds this could help a guy in need know there is a place for support or encourage a member to turn up and seek support from his peers.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
Thanks you in advance for your support.
