In memory

Story

Jigger was loved by all who new him. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great - grandfather. A familiar face at the dog tracks as he was a greyhound trainer for over 50 years. As we approach two years since we sadly lost him we wish to do a coastal walk in his honour and memory for two charities very close to his heart. He loved to be by the sea or any water for that matter as he was an amazing swimmer which is why we have chosen the 21 mile walk from Whitby to Scarborough.

The money raised will be evenly spit between two charities. The Greyhounds Trust for his love of the breed and Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospital NHS Trust as when he was being treated for Cancer in Doncaster hospital, he referred to those who cared for him as 'angels' and even wrote a poem dedicated to them with the same title.

We will be walking on the 14th of November in memory of this brilliant man, we have set the target at £400 to evenly split the amount and gift £200 to each charity. Any amount raised will be amazing and we deeply thank you for any donation made.
