Story

Oscar's Story

Oscar is a very brave 3 year old who was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma at just 20 months old. Neuroblastoma is a very aggressive and difficult to treat cancer. Oscar has been through so much on his treatment journey and has endured chemotherapy, surgery, stem cell recovery, radiotherapy and immunotherapy. After treatment everyone was so hopeful, but unfortunately Oscar relapsed in February 2018.

There is currently no NHS protocol for relapsed Neuroblastoma. Treatments are available in clinical trials. There is a very real chance that pioneering treatment for Neuroblastoma abroad will help Oscar and his parents are now faced with the daunting task of trying to raise the funds for this which could run into hundreds of thousands of pounds.

Oscar is a very happy child, a big brother to his twin brother and sister who he loves spending time with when home. He enjoys Peppa, Paw patrol and popping bubbles.

My Mission

In order to raise funds for Oscar's treatment, I am walking from Coast to Coast- from St. Bee's in the Lake District to Robin Hood Bay just south of Whitby.

I'll cover the 146.9 miles over 6 consecutive days from the 25th August 2018. Roughly walking around 26 miles a day and then setting up camp for the night.A few friends and family plan to meet me along the way for small sections of the route.

Please donate if you can, share on your social media pages and give me a wave and beep if you see me along the way.
