Story

Walking For A Difference is a charity walk with all proceeds raised being split between Laurel House (MacMillan Ward) in Antrim and Charis House in Lissan

In August 2024, my Mum (Roisin) was unexpectedly diagnosed with stage four cancer. Roisin made a difference to everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her, no more so than those within her family. Her selfless nature meant she put the needs of others infront of her own and this was evident right up until the very end.

We as a family will never be able to thank the staff of A1 and the MacMillan Unit in Antrim Area Hospital for the difference they made in Roisins final days and months. Likewise, the difference Charis House has made for us as a family during and after Roisins passing has been expectational.

In the build up to our event, we will be posting about smaller sub events that will raise awareness of the two charities with the overall aim to raise as much money as possible.
