Story
Over the last few weeks, communities right across the nation have come together, such as popping to get some groceries for a neighbour or clapping our magnificent NHS workers who risk their own safety every single day.
It is for that exact reason that we believe it is Springvale’s responsibility to give something back to the local area and to do so, we will be raising money in our Walking the Length of Ireland Challenge.
Each day, our staff members will walk a few kilometres in their local community (adhering to the social distancing guidelines) and this will be added up over a period time to cover the famous Malin Head to Mizen Head route, totalling nearly 550 kilometres and crossing through many counties, starting in Donegal and passing through Derry, Tyrone, Fermanagh, Cavan, Leitrim, Longford, Westmeath, Offaly, Tipperary, Limerick and finishing in Cork.
To help us achieve our goal, we are asking you to help us reach our £550 target. We are grateful for any donation you are able to give and if you are in the position to do so, you can also sponsor our members of staff £1 per kilometre. All of the funds received will be donated to the Upper Springfield Development Trust Community Fund which will help those in need who are struggling during these unprecedented times by purchasing and distributing food parcels and energy card top ups in the local area.
For those who have any questions or for anyone would like to sponsor a member of staff, please contact kristian.ross@springvalelearning.com.
Thanks,
The Springvale Team
