I've raised £10000 to help restore the Wellington Monument.

Standing high on the Blackdown Hills, the Wellington Monument, at 175ft, is the tallest three-sided obelisk in the world, IN THE WORLD!, and we are in danger of losing it. In order to raise awareness of the plight of the monument and to raise funds to help towards it's restoration, I am going to walk from Cleopatra's Needle (on the bank of the River Thames) to the monument. I shall start the walk on September 14th, 2018 and make my way across England taking in several other National Trust monuments and estates.
Please support me in this crazy scheme. You can either donate on this page or come to Odette's Tearoom in Wellington to make a contribution or, if you wish, once the route is published, walk some of the way with me. This venture has the full support of the National Trust and they are helping with the route, the publicity and the administration. I am also fortunate to have the full support of my business partner and fellow barmpot, Victoria Osborne.
Please give generously, I am 60 next year!
