Story

I am going to walk from Telford, Shropshire to Morocco without using transport except when travelling over water until my feet touch Moroccan soil.

I am doing this because I have been given a budget of £60 per week all inclusive regardless of how long it takes, my plan is once I have acquired enough equipment and have comfortably hiked past the first major milestone I am anticipating using less than or up to half of my budget for food and other supplies while travelling and save the other half for travelling back with my two year old daughter on train, plane and coach back to the UK and still have enough money left to put down a deposit for a two or three bedroom house and part furnish it.

So you see. The longer I travel for and the less I spend. The more I will have to survive after I return to the UK.

I also want to give to charity without having money to donate. This way I can help my situation and give to those charities and good causes who are trying to help children who cant have both parents together because of the UK immigration minimum income ruling. I want to raise £3000 for charities that are trying to help families like mine, we will donate £1000 each. The charities are Rethink, The Honey Pot and Shropshire Wildlife Trust and I am hoping that my oldest daughter may benefit with the transport needed to visit her Mother this year.

The main drive for me is...... Spend time, Save Money and complete the journey that needs to be done.

I grew up in a low income house with a kinda normal education, married in June 2007 and had our first Daughter in December 2007. my wifes visa expired and upon application were told to reapply from Morocco and as i was working, my wife and my daughter flew to Morocco to reapply for her visa. we made numerous visa applications totalling nearly £10,000 over the duration of our marriage.

Ten years later and we are still in the same situation, and I have suffered many bouts of depression due to this

Me and my daughter have visited Morocco over 10 times in the last 10 years.

I want to go to Morocco and I am going to Morocco, I am just taking my time to save money before I get there.

Supplies I'm setting out with

Socks x 4, Trousers x 2, Jumper, Hoodie, T-shirts x 3, Shorts x 2, Coat (not waterproof), Walking Boots, Trainers, Flip flops, Bandanas, Tent, Sleeping bag, Belt, Torch and batteries, Lighters, camping kitchen, tin opener, first aid kit, tape and glue, eating equipment, hiking rucksack, water bladder/bottle, maps, compass, food rations, toothbrush and toothpaste, cleaning sponge (food), cleaning cloth (misc), toilet paper, camera and batteries.

I don't have all of the items needed to travel and would appreciate any donations.

It is going to break my heart to have to take away a mother from her daughter again no matter she is asking me to pick her up and give her the life she can have in the UK. I don't know if I'm going to be able to do it yet again.
