I'm cycling from Wallingford to our twin towns of Luxeuil-Les-Bains in France and Bad Wurzach in Germany to raise awareness and fund for year 2 of Wallingford Radio - your local community radio station!

Anyone who's visited Wallingford (except by train) would have passed one of these signs. But being somewhat inquisitive, we decided to look up the twin towns on a map. It turns out that if one was so inclined, you might be able to even cycle to the both in around a week. If you were so inclined...

Always keen for a challenge, and with the anniversary of Wallingford Radio on FM coming up, we decided to make a bit of a fundraiser for it. As you do.

So setting off from the Wallingford Radio studios on the 25th March, the plan is to cycle to both twin towns and be back in Wallingford (by plane) in time for the 1st April, the one year anniversary.

Along the way will be surprise guests, ferries, video updates, song requests and more. We'll have updates on the breakfast show every morning as well as throughout the schedule.

Wallingford Radio 107.3fm is YOUR local community radio station. Run entirely by volunteers, we aim to cover local events, local business news, interview local government representatives, and keep you entertained - with local acts where we can.

We're based at Ayres Yard in Wallingford, and provide 24/7 live, local, radio for our community and surrounding villages. We hope to expand in the future, but won't be able to without your help.
