Walsall Rugby Club has been around for 98 years this year and oh boy what a year it has been, it’s been one of our toughest…. Covid has hit our playing ability, forced us off the pitch and we’ve resorted to imaginative ways to keep the teams engaged. Likewise, as Covid has hit the playing hard – it has also hit the income of the Club equally as hard – if not harder…
So, it’s time to pull our socks up and put our boots on and help the Club that we all have in our hearts… it’s time to Move in March!
We as a whole Club – which includes, all Senior Male and Female teams, the Mini and Juniors, Baby Bears and family members are aiming to make a total of 10,000,000 steps in March!
Whilst we are hot footing it, we are asking for sponsorship to help us raise much needed funds for our Club which will help keep it going…. With your support, we will be able to reach our target of £3000 and when we return to Rugby, the Club will be in a much better position.
Please help by spreading the word, sharing with all your social media and ask for support – every donation helps – no matter how much it is – and every penny will be put to good use.
The response we have received in the first week has been completely overwhelming and our original target of 10,000,000 steps was hit in the FIRST WEEK thanks to an amazing collective effort from the whole Club.
Therefore, after a rethink, we’ve upped our target for the month to 50 million to push everyone to get out and count their steps (which by the way is what it takes to walk around the world!!) So, we’ll keep Moving in March and smash our new target!!
