Story
On Sunday 13th March 2022 I travelled to Przemysl in South Eastern Poland 12km from the Polish Ukrainian border to volunteer in my capacity as a qualified nurse and I am self funding my travel and living costs and have taken 6 months unpaid leave from my substantive NHS role to help the Ukrainian people displaced because of the Russian invasion. All funds raised will enable me to buy food and medical supplies.
I have already raised over £14,000 with my previous justgiving and this has been used to purchase essential medical equipment and baby essentials.
I have been volunteering as a Nurse and Midwife but also coordinating aid and supplies to far to reach corners of the Ukraine that no agencies are supporting also offering medical assistance when needed. Kharkiv Ukraine Facebook

2 months agoWendy has just returned from her 14th Mission Ukraine 🇺🇦 with Co driver Andy Cribbin retired Police Superintendent to deliver two more donated MoM incubators to hospitals Two were also delivered to Zaporizhzhia beginning of September. In the last 6 months the total of incubators donated to hospitals by Wendy Warrington My Polish Ukrainian Journey is 14 across Ukraine 🇺🇦👏 Thank you to donors and supporters 🙏 ❤️ This work is only achieved by your support! #humanitarianaid #savingbabies

5 months agoWendy met 1967 Eurovision Song Contest Winner Sandie Shaw in London on the 13th June 2023 after Sandie was inspired to re record and re release her hit from Eurovision Puppet on a String after being inspired listening to Wendy talk about her work in Ukraine on BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour . All proceed to UNICEF for Ukraine.
