Story
Wanjawulo is a disability support and family support service for children and adults with developmental disability living in a rural area of Uganda. Wanjawulo relies on a small number of volunteers and the generous donations of supporters to keep the centre running.
The COVID Pandemic has presented significant challenge for families with disabilities in Uganda. There is little government support, no vaccination programme, and for people living in remote villages such as Busu, life has become extremely difficult. The families face significant health and social risks.
Wanjawulo is a recently registered UK charity that first began in 2015 when a small group of specialist educators and health professionals visited Busu And met the special families that Wanjawulo work with. Please go to www.wanjawulo.org to watch our film and learn more!
