Story

Me and my best mate (Craig) are wanting to raise money for ward 84 Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at RMCH by running the liverpool spring 10k on the 3rd May 2020.

Last year Craigs 9 year old son (Luca) was diagnosed with a form of leukemia called Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS). The treatment for such a complex stem cell disorder was never going to be straight forward with days worth of chemotherapy before having to undertake a bone marrow transplant. For this treatment Luca would need to spend weeks in isolation on ward 84 to help avoid any harmful infections. For such a young boy it endure this is a credit to himself and his family!

The staff on ward 84 have been amazing in helping luca along this difficult time. So me and luca’s dad would like to thank all the staff for everything they have done in helping Luca by generating money to help support the ward and other familys in such unfortunate circumstances.

We would love to reach our target so please help us if possible. Any donations will be much appreciated, All the money raised will go to ward 84 of RMCH.
