    Story

The Brutish Multitude is a theatre company based in West Yorkshire. We have a new production programmed for March 2024, but like many

folk in the arts, we're short of funds. Our production is called 'Warp and Weft', two thematically related one-act plays about the struggle for the vote; the first 'Waiting For Wesley is set amid the Chartist uprising in 1842; the second, The House That Ethel Built, is about the life and work of novelist and campaigner Ethel Carnie Holdsworth.

      Heptonstall

The Brutish Multitude was formed in West Yorks, to produce a community play based upon the English Civil War battle, the Battle of Heptonstall. We now have two new one-act plays programmed at Halifax Playhouse for March 2024, but we need some help getting the show on the road.
