established in 1997, Warrington West Concert Band are a community organisation who regularly fundraise for local schools; community groups and local charities. since 2018, we have worked with 4 primary schools and raised money for several local charities. The band also provides the opportunity of ensemble playing for musicians of all abilities and all ages. The band requires regular updates in terms of music, instruments and equipment as well as paying for regular rehearsal space and storage. We currently fund these things through a minimal monthly contribution from members and small donations from performance events. All band members (including leadership) are involved voluntarily. In recent years, the band has grown to become one of the largest community concert bands in the area, with 60+ members. We do need support to continue our growth, development and our work in local communities/schools. The band strives to offer a unique experience to young children in school choirs, being able to perform with a large, live band. Also, we continue to welcome all musicians regardless of age or ability with no entry requirements other than a love of music and community. Other experiences that the band offers, particularly to members are performing in high profile venues such as the Trafford Centre and performing around the UK on our annual summer tours.
