I've raised £1000 to help secure the long term future of the choir during these difficult times.

Warrington Male Voice Choir, like all other amateur choirs, has had no concert income due to the COVID-19 pandemic. People across Warrington are being urged to get involved in our latest light-hearted, virtual recording ‘Lockdown Blues 2021 Remix’.
‘Lockdown Blues’, originally released in May last year, has been brought up to date by Musical Director Russell Paterson, with new verses, a new arrangement and a new title - ‘Lockdown Blues 2021 Remix’, to mark the anniversary of when the choir started its virtual rehearsals on 30 March last year and with choristers again singing individually from their own homes.
One of two new verses ends with the line ‘Cos you know how to have a good time when you come from Warrington!’ and we are urging people across Warrington (taking note of current COVID lockdown guidelines), to join in the fun, sing along with this verse and the chorus, film their performance and post it on their social media platforms. Obviously, with a simple change of location in the verse, the choir is also hoping people beyond Warrington will join in.
For this anniversary remix, a number of choristers were also asked to record their own ‘visual interpretation’ of a particular verse and that’s how one member surprised his fellow choristers by fixing it for ‘Boris’ to get involved.
This Lockdown Blues 2021 remix release will also act as a fundraiser for the choir, which has not performed live for over twelve months. Once people have viewed and enjoyed the recording - and joined in - the choir is hoping you will be willing to make a donation to choir funds.
We hope you have enjoyed watching us perform once again and we can’t wait to see you all at our next live concert, which will hopefully be very soon.
