I've raised £1500 to Help fund Warrior Ranch; an equine assisted centre for soldiers suffering with PTSD and Trauma

My name is Imogen and I am fundraising by doing a 15,000ft skydive for ex-combat veteran Tam Carroll and his charity, Warrior Ranch; an equine centre for soldiers with PTSD and Trauma, using horses to lead the way in their recovery.
Warrior Ranch is well on the way to becoming a valuable equine assisted human development centre in Kinross, Scotland, using horses to help our service men and women overcome major mental illnesses. I met Tam and was absolutely compelled by the stories of his combat tours in Iraq. Leaving with severe shrapnel injuries and PTSD, Tam found himself alone on the cliffs ready to end his life where suddenly a bolt hit him telling Tam to get a horse. Thinking it was crazy, Tam pursued the idea and purchased his first horse Ollie, starting a journey which saved Tam’s life.
Fundraising for this charity is so important to help our service personnel to cope with mental illness. The Army’s first study of the mental health of troops who fought in Iraq found that about one in eight reported symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder.
I am asking for your help to assist myself, Tam and the number of men and women who fight and fought for our protection, and aim to achieve peace in countries of conflict. The difference that people like Tam are creating is invaluable to sufferers of PTSD, as well as their friends and family.
Thank you for reading this page, any donations small or large is a step in the right direction for achieving the help our army personnel deserve. \
