Ronnie has been diagnosed with a condition called Perthes. This is rare and its means his hip joint is affected by loss of blood supply. He has pain and limping whilst we wait for the blood supply to return and his bone to repair and grow again. We do not know how long this will take. He may need sugery if the bone grows back incorrectly. He is no longer able to run or jump, play football or other things that risk impact. Hard for a kid his age to be limited. Camp Perthes brings together kids (warriors) like Ron and he will be able to take part in activities with support. He wants to cycle from Willingham to St Ives and back and would like you to sponsor him. Money raised will fund his place at camp. Thanks.
