Story

Our original plan was to raise money for Ethan Hunt's prosthetic legs and any aids he may of needed around the home. I organised a team from work to take part in the Total Warrior obstacle course. Unfortunately, Ethan passed away in March, however we still want to fund raise in memory of him. Our plan is still to complete the course on 5th August and to raise money for an ECMO machine, which helped Ethan's family to have precious extra time with him.

An ECMO machine, Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, is the use of a modified heart-lung machine to provide respiratory, circulatory, or both support at the bedside. Currently there are only 20 of these machines throughout the UK.

So a little bit about the team that have given up their time to train and take part in the course. As many are aware I'm best friends with Ethan's cousin so it was a no brainer for me to do something to help that could help Ethan and his family, but the rest of the team has never met Ethan. As soon as they heard about Ethan, they wanted to help. The team consists of 3 others, Mark, Katie and Martin. We all work for Specsavers and vary in age and fitness levels. None of us have ever taken on a task like this so its certainly going to be a challenge, but one that's worth it.

All we ask is for a donation towards the cause. It doesn't have to be much, whatever you can afford will be appreciated.

Thanks
