Story

A day to remember over 7.5 miles, 25 obstacles abd 10 tons of ice by Amie, Katherine and Tracey ...........so in 2018 three ladies over the age of 30 but under the glorious age of 50 decided to enter Total Warrior, Leeds! We had never done trail runs or obstacle courses before other than many moons ago when we were children. We would do this alongside 40 other women to demonstrate teamwork and to achieve something we never thought possible. We have trained hard with blood, sweat and tears being shed already! Not only did we want to have a sense of pride in ourselves for being a certain age and completing this course but we wanted to be able to support local charities by fundraising through our achievement. The chosen charities are local Parkinson's, Freeman Unit for after care post transplant and Butterwick Hospice for children and young adults. Parkinson's and transplants have affected families and friends of all of us and therefore are extremely important to support. A children's charity was picked because we are all mothers who appreciate the work this organisation does. We have arranged to do it through crowdfunding to make it easier to separate the money to each charity evenly. Don't worry about gift aid we have organised this with the charity so they receive every penny possible. So if you think we are brave, rather silly or absolutely fantastic and would like to donate to our mid life moment we would be extremely grateful! Thank you xxxxxx
