    Story

Davey McCallion, Curator of War Years Remembered writes:

I don’t want anyone to think we have been ignoring them it’s just been flat out and a very long day yesterday and even longer night this is literally the first I have sat down.

Heaters have been burning constant since yesterday items lifted displays cleared mopping brushing drying etc.

So I hope you understand as the charities and my first responsibility is the collection it’s preservation and protection.

It will be a few more days of tidying and having the heat and burners on full blast around the clock, our largest concern at present is the costs as we are not prepared for the recent spate of events.

I can only tell you how hard it is seeing the condition of the items the displays that has been such a joy and honour to complete showing how our families history and how they lived during the war years.

We do need your help and advice.
