Waunfawr Park is home to Cwmcarn Athletic FC as it is to various other clubs and organisations.

Our motivation to begin this project and our personal story begins after our veterans team played Llanelli vets in the quarter final of the Welsh Cup at the start of the summer 2022. Only a few weeks later, a player from Llanelli collapsed on the field in a different game and sadly passed away. At that particular sports ground, there was no defibrillator present.

As a club we‘ve worked hard behind the scenes and working with CCBC who kindly agreed to allow us to install a defibrillator on the side of the brown cabin/kiosk located by the band stand.

The heated cabinet has been installed which means we can now go ahead and purachase the defib machine.

As a club we are asking other sports clubs, organisations, dog walkers and the general local community to help us raise the funds to purchase the defib. Any donation would be pricless and could help save a life.
