Minimum 700 Miles – Two Charities & Aspiring Football Talent

Hi everyone,

This September, I’m taking on a new cycling challenge: a continuous minimum 700-mile journey, starting on 6 September and finishing on approximately 19th/20th.

I’ll be cycling minimum 700 miles across three stages, with around 500 miles of the Wild Atlantic way (Ireland) completed before the final leg:

🚴 Stage 1: Taking part in the Manchester 100k with members of Bury Tandem Club

🇮🇪 Stage 2: Cycling along Ireland’s spectacular Wild Atlantic Way

⚽ Stage 3: Completing the final leg by cycling from Bury Football Club, Gigg lane to the Stadium of Light, Sunderland AFC

Throughout the journey, I’ll be raising funds for two charities, while also supporting Aspiring Football Talent.

BURY TANDEM CLUB

Bury Tandem Club provides opportunities and support for visually impaired cyclists, allowing people to enjoy cycling as part of a welcoming and inclusive community.

The club’s founder, Derek Pritchard, is a true inspiration, as are all the dedicated tandem stokers. Special recognition also goes to Lucy Hobson (Mountaineer) who continues to inspire so many people, Laura Whittaker, Ironman athlete. (Both ex BTC stokers). And a special thanks to Mark Holmes BTC mechanic leaving after 16 years.

Smile Train provides life-changing cleft surgery and essential care for children around the world. Their work helps children access the treatment and support they need, giving them the opportunity to live healthier, happier lives.

ASPIRING FOOTBALL TALENT
