Story

My dad Roy was a resident in a care home when the Covid19 pandemic hit. This meant that they stopped all visitors meaning my mum, his wife of 63 years, was unable to see him. Sadly my dad was taken to hospital on the 16th April and tested positive for Coronavirus, he died on the 19th April 2020 and we weren't allowed on the ward to be with him or to say our goodbyes. He had had no contact with any of his family for over 5 weeks, he died alone without having seen any of his family. In memory of my dad we want to try and get tablets in as many care homes as possible so that no other family have to go through the pain of not being able to say goodbye. We think everyone should be able to stay in contact with their loved ones, especially in times like these, and the ability to video call with family members would stop people feeling lonely and prevent anyone else from missing out on the chance to say goodbye if the worst happens.
