Hi,

On the 20/03/20 - 04/04/20 I will be going on a huskey trek for 9 days. It’s an Incredible experience but also an amazing opportunity to raise money for Band Of Builders.

My trip:

I will be travelling from norway into sweden. This is 270km. On the first day I will meet the huskeys and be trained on how to set them up and sledge. The next few days will be very long distance and very intense. I will be doing daily updates on my trip for you all to follow.

Band of builders was set up in need of a man called Keith who had cancer. A group of builders came together to renovate his home to suit his and his family‘s needs. Here‘s their story.....

When Addam Smith’s mate Keith Ellick was diagnosed with terminal cancer, Addam wanted to do something - anything - to make his life a little bit easier. A plan to landscape his garden captured won the support of his fellow tradesmen and saw the project grow into a full-scale renovation of Keith’s house carried out by volunteers from across the country.

From there Band of Builders has been unstoppable, uniting members of the construction industry through the simple desire to help others. Every item of the branded workwear we’ve created helps raise money for the cause as well as uniting people in a community that has seen complete strangers go on to become firm friends.

Our Facebook community has become a safe space for tradespeople to share their highs and lows, seek support and have some fun, as well as signposting those in need to other organisations that could give them some much-needed help.

All of that provides the foundations for us to achieve our aim of helping other people in the same way Addam helped Keith - through hands-on projects to make life just that little bit easier when times get tough.

Band of Builders is an organisation started by tradespeople, for tradespeople, no matter what they're going through.
