Story
We are a community interest company set up with the intention of promoting cycling in the borough of Walsall. We already deliver coaching to adult cyclists and new cyclists in the town on a voluntary basis and at very cheap rates, we promote cycling where we can.
We would very much like to be able to afford to work full time with the project to give bikes to people who need them and provide training and coaching. We estimate that £10k would pay a full time worker to deliver a good deal of this service to a town that can really benefit from what cycling has to offer.
Currently the Walsall Bike Project CIC is a one man band, running around getting people on bikes. The one man is a qualified mechanic and National Standards instructor as well as a BC qualified coach. The project has support from local authorities who have donated time and resources to it including a premises and training costs.
If we can get the funds it could be a great thing for Wasall.
