In 2015 my brother Jordan was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Over the past 18 months he has undergone brain surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Brains are delicate and unfortunately when Jordan woke from surgery he incurred some significant left-side weakness. This essentially means the bits of his brain that told some of his left side what to do, weren’t there anymore and his brain needed retraining to gain these back.

He returned to the gym rocking a large scar wanting to just blend in, get his head down and work. I’ve witnessed Jordan reteach his brain to do things we all take for granted and now he is lifting weights again.

Jordan’s recovery reframed the way he looked at exercise. It was no longer about looking good or competing with the guy next to you. It’s about competing with yourself, achieving your own goals, climbing your own mountains.

What he's done is grit in it’s truest form and if there’s one word to describe how he’s been since his diagnosis, it’s “Resolute” and this is the message we want to promote.

Jordan’s experience is the inspiration for a Health & Fitness brand that will be more than a brand, we want it to be a philosophy. A motivator for driven and humble gym-goers. Resolute is about substance over style. You won’t ever see neon colours, wild patterns, bulging models or stringer vests. We want to be about the best information and products for the job.

Resolute will provide gym-wear, nutritional information and the motivation you need to achieve your goals whilst also donating at least 20% of profits to Cancer Charities, forever!

Jordan wants to start this brand with the help from myself and our younger brother Adam. Between the three of us we cover Personal Training, Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

We desperately want to launch this idea but need help to get started. We have got this far on favours but a lack of funds for the first run of t-shirts is holding us back.
