Story

The Romney Marsh is a beautiful Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) with a rich sheep farming heritage but sadly today the area suffers from high unemployment.

I have always had a lifelong love of the Romney Marsh, where my cousins and I spent holidays with our grandmother. Since 2012 I have had the vision to try and create new job opportunities for young people on The Marsh by seeing if we could weave a fine fabric from the wool of the Romney Sheep which form part of the landscape that those of us who live on The Marsh are so familiar with.

Fast forward five years and we now have a stunning tweed that I am so proud of. This is where YOU come in! Together we can buy up the tweed in order to support local people who will then turn it into products that we can sell - caps, bags, waistcoats and even dog coats for example - with the profits going back into the project in order to teach children at local schools about our history and how to weave.
