I've raised £200 to help fund Wednesday's Child run mental health and arts workshops as a support network for those who identify as womxn and non binary

We are Jasmine and Elizabeth and we run Wednesday’s Child, a not for profit community organisation that delivers mental health and art workshops for those that identify as womxn and non binary. We founded this out of a genuine lack of space dedicated to discussing serious mental health realities in a safe, sober and judgement free space. Part of our mission means that we work with emerging creatives in Manchester and the North West to support them in facilitating a skills sharing session in the form of arts workshops. We have been running for nearly a year now and have, in that time, created a thriving safe space community. A supportive network with participants returning again and again to take part in our journey to empower and support through championing self care and an open dialogue surrounding mental health. We have now ran five fully booked workshops named ‘Make 4 Mind’s Sake’, and we feel that we are beginning to really reach out to and engage with a creative community to tackle mental health stigma here in Manchester.
The time has come in our journey where we feel we would benefit greatly from vital financial support, with a view to growing as an organisation allowing us to continue our work in Manchester on a larger scale, with more competency. We never pay ourselves a wage and all money raised will go back into Wednesday's Child to fund materials for our workshops, to subsidise guest artists expenses and materials and to market our work to reach to a wider and more inclusive and diverse audience. Our organisation is underpinned by intersectional feminist values which are at the core of everything that we do, we want to continue to empower and engage. We see Wednesday's Child as our baby, and right now we need some support in allowing it to flourish!
