Story

The staff at Welford and Wickham CE Primary school would like to support the fundraising efforts of the school by challenging themselves to walk up Pen Y Fan in a 16mile walk. 10 members of teaching/TA staff with 2 supporting them will take to the hills to walk up this mountain on the 11th May followed by a shorter walk on the Sunday to round it off to 20+ miles each. Pen y Fan is the highest peak in south Wales, situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park. At 886 metres above sea-level, it is also the highest British peak south of Cadair Idris in Snowdonia.

The staff feel strongly that the children here should have access to IT resourses above and beyond the very basic facilities we have to offer and would like to be part of the fundraising to support the already amazing work the Friends Association does (Reg Charity number 1114025) in all areas of school life.

So if you would like to see some pictures of Mrs Dickens, Mrs Valentine, Mrs Kilding, Mr Waller, Mrs Crosse, Mrs Myers, Mrs Ibbetson, Mrs Brady, Mrs Miller and Ms Chamberlain outside come rain or shine instead of in the classroom the get donating!

Updates of training and progress to follow.
