I am trying to raise as much money as possible in order for me to undergo a special treatment that will allow me to walk for the first time in 5 years as I have suffered from a form of MS for the past 12 years. The treatment is called stem cell treatment and has an 87% chance of giving me back what this disorder has stolen from me but it means myself and a carer travelling to Moscow and staying there for 2 weeks so the money will pay for my travel, treatment and stay whilst we are over there as well as the six months aftercare that will be needed as a follow up of the treatment. Over the years my disorder has progressed making my body degenerate at a faster rate and now I can no longer move anything from my neck down as well as finding it difficult to talk and swallow. This disorder has affected me and my close friends and family in both physical and mental ways and is very upsetting and frustrating on a daily basis. Stress is a very big factor in my life, when the stress is worse, my disorder gets worse. I am a single mother who has been trying to raise a daughter since she was 4 years old and with each passing year I have lost more and more of my mobility to the point where I can no longer do anything with her. My daughter is very active, and as much as I appreciate my family taking her on family outings and trips such as shopping and camping, I get very upset that I am unable to go with them. I can no longer take my daughter on holiday as I need 2 carers during the course of the day which means that I would have to pay for the 2 carers to come on holiday with us which I cannot afford meaning that my daughter misses out on a lot. I feel I exist in live rather than live life as I need a carer 24/7 to be able to do everything for me as I can no longer do anything for myself. Ever since the disorder aggressively started, I have become very self conscious of myself and do not like having my photo taken which can be difficult sometimes as I cannot have family photos.
