Our team of 6 swimmers 3 of whom are in their sixties (they shall remain nameless)! will endeavour to swim relay the English Channel in Aid of Dog and Cat Animal rescue. The two recipients of the fundraiser Kim Halliwell and Maz Canine are two Animal Rescues who are very much at the coalface when taking Animals into their care with the ultimate goal of a secure and loving rehome. This includes saving Animals from neglect, abuse, abandonment and in certain circumstances potential euthanasia. Both organisations have been carefully selected for their outstanding work in saving the lives of both dogs and cats in the Almeria region of Spain. Both have rehomed animals on many occasions here in Jersey, Europe and around the world.
