Since learning of the global dog and cat meat trade, like many of us, I have never been able to celebrate my birthday anymore. My birthday is the day before China's YULIN starts, which starts on June 21st & anually. This is not just China that have dog & cat meat 'festivals'. It is a global 'trade' that myself and my fellow animal right activist friends have been fighting against for years. This year, I will be having close friends and family with me and will be asking them that rather they give me a present or a card, I wish for them to donate to this page instead. I am hoping that you can find it in your hearts to do the same, however small the donation is. Millions of dogs and cats are tortured yearly for human consumption in the most inhumane way. Their tails still wagging as they are being led away to be murdered - but knowing their fate and that their lives are about to end. Dogs and cats are loving, loyal companion animals, dogs fight for their countries. They are the first species that we send in when there is an earthquake, they can sniff out bombs and are companions in the human world of people suffering from mental/physical health such as blindness, to name a few. We owe it to them to fight for their right to live and we need to give the loyalty they show us, back to them. We need to speak out for them as they are voiceless. Please help them. All funds will be split between 'The Sound of Animals' (Thailand/Cambodia) & Mrs Yang rescue shelter in China. These 'one man/woman' rescue shelters risk their lives by going to the dog and cat meat markets (and alone) to buy the dogs/cats off the 'traders', in order to save them. There is also the aftercare, operations. medicine, food, shelter, bedding etc that needs upkeep and your donations will be going direct to these furry kids safety and well-being. Do a good thing today. Save a dog or cats life. All donations to these rescue center's will be transparent and posted on fb. Thank you.
