We'll it sure looks like I'm running a marathon!!!!
Thank you for all your generous support so far, keep it coming, I've raised my target to £1000
Speakability help stroke survivors who are aphaisic (those who are unable to talk after their stroke) and since Brendon suffered his stroke in December 2013 they have been there for both of us and offered us unmeasurable support - and now it's time for us to give something back to them.
Like any small charity, they rely on donations and fundraising to keep going. I'm running the Yorkshire Marathon in October 2018 and hoping to raise £500 as just a small token of appreciation for the care that they've given Brendon and I over the last five years.
Any contribution that you can give, no matter how large or small, will go towards the important work that they do, and will be greatly appreciated.

6 years agoThe marathon is done and dusted! 5 hours 35 minutes of the coldest, wettest, worst weather you can imagine, but I did it, and managed to run the whole way (even though I fell down a cattle grid half an hour before the start!). Thank you so much to everyone who has already sponsored - if you haven't yet my JustGiving page will remain open for another 8 days, so please give whatever you can. I've broken through my original target by over £700, but every penny raised will go to support a great cause. Thank you, again, Wendy x
