Story
We have set up this page for our amazing Wendy to help her, and her family in anyway we can at this difficult time
On Wednesday 15th November, Wendy was dignosed with acute leukaemia. The news was unbelieveable and such a shock to her, as well as her family and everyone around her.
Wendy was moved to UCLH that very day to start treatment ASAP
Acute leukaemia is very aggressive and therfore the treament has to be the same .
Wendy is currently on an 11 day intensive chemotherapy treatment. Due to the intensitivity of the treatment, Wendy will become very unwell. She will at some stage need to go into ICU and will recive a number of blood transfusions, which will be the first of many sessions of intensive chemotherapy.
Wendy, her family and her many friends are staying very positive and strong. It‘s a very long road ahead, but we all know she will come out fighting.

6 years agoUnfortunately we have found out that Wendy will be needing a bone marrow transplant, her borther and sister are not a match. so for now it is a waiting game to find a donor. She is still staying strong and fighting though.
