Story

I am fundraising on behalf of a victim of domestic abuse. *

We are fundraising to buy Ms Goldenburgh a camper van; so that she can take her personal belongings, return to her home town and still have somewhere to live when she gets there.

Ms G has lived with her emotionally and sometimes physically abusive partner for 4 years, but he didn’t become that way until after he had convinced her to move to an isolated island in the UK so he could follow his chosen career path.

When her partner lost his job, they were declared homeless and have been living in emergency accommodation for over a year. While Ms G has tried to improve their situation, her partner just continues to make things worse.

Ms Goldenburgh has asked me to start this Just Giving page on her behalf, so that she can raise money to help her escape her situation and return to her family in England.

Not only is the cost of travel and upfront costs of renting a living space extremely high, but the majority of items in the emergency housing belong to Ms Goldenburgh. She also wants to take her dog with her as she fears for what might happen to it if she leaves it behind.

After careful consideration, we think the best solution to the issues mentioned above is to buy a second hand camper or a large van of some sort so that when her partner goes out for the day, she can pack up all of her things and drive the 500 miles home to her family.

We would really appreciate donations towards helping her escape her horrid situation. Thank you for reading this.
