Story

Westdyke Community Club is a Scottish Football Association QUALITY MARK Club. The first in the North Region to attain Community Status and also the first to attain Legacy Status.

After our amazing fundraising success last year and much fun we decided to get together again and take part in this fantastic event, where we can work together with players from other age groups and raise money at the same time for two great causes. All money raised on this JustGiving page will be split 50/50 between Westdyke Community Club and JDRF.

Last year over 200 players, coaches and supporters took part in the JDRF One Fun Run. Hopefully we will have as many this year which is being held at Lochter Activity Park, Oldmeldrum on Sunday 22nd September. This will see them conquer a 2km obstacle course, through mud, water and paint bombs.

Type 1 Diabetes impacts over 400,000 people in the UK, with over 29,000 of these sufferers being 16yrs or under. Type 1 Diabetes directly impacts players, coaches and families within the Westdyke family and we want to do what we can to support our team mates.

Westdyke strive to be more than 'just' a Football Club. We want to teach our boys and girls that we can help others, while at the same time strengthen the bond amongst themselves, their team mates and their friends in other squads. Our ethos is 'One Club'. We would love to see as many players, coaches, parents, family members and friends come along on the day!

Thank you so much for your support!!
