Story

On 13th February 2018, I am going to be walking the distance of Chichester to Worthing (20 miles) on a treadmill to raise funds in order to donate a Defibrillator to the Westhampnett Child Development Centre in Chichester. A defibrillator is a device that gives a high energy electric shock to the heart through the chest wall to someone who is in cardiac arrest. The medical and health professionals based at the Westhampnett Child Development Centre are trained in resuscitation annually but do not have access to a defibrillator on site. I believe it to be vital that the Westhampnett Centre has access to such an important and potentially lifesaving piece of equipment. In order to donate a defibrillator to the Westhampnett Centre I need to raise at least £2000. If you would like to help me reach this target then I would be hugely grateful for any donations towards this cause. Thank you so much. Matt :)
