West Word, the award-winning community newspaper which serves the various communities of North West Lochaber, is at present struggling to cope with an ageing printer which has been requiring increasingly regular interventions by the supplier to keep it going over the last year. This is putting a heavy toll on both volunteers and editor who are spending an increasing amount of time trying to sort out the various problems ("print one, jam one" being the most frequent) and frustrating their attempts to deliver the paper to outlets on time.

We’ve sourced a replacement which is perfect for the job; now we just need to raise the funds to pay for it. We’ve already received some incredibly generous donations and we are identifying funding bodies to apply to but even if applications are successful we will still need help to reach our target!
