Story
Wyre Forest Swimming Club - Olympic - Strava Challenge
There is light at the end of the tunnel … on the 12th April our swimmers will hopefully be returning to the pool. Wyre Forest Swimming Club’s (WFSC) PSA is planning to start organising activities and support Club competitions which we hope will take place in the near future.
We want to raise funds to help the Club with additional costs being incurred to make swim sessions COVID safe, buy a new printer to help with our Club meets and buy electronic devices for our volunteer Team Managers to effectively support the swimmers at competitions.
Our Olympic challenge
In order to raise money we are challenging ALL PARENTS, CHILDREN and FRIENDS of the Wyre Forest Swimming Club to take part in our ' Olympic Challenge'. In the time between now and getting back to the pool we want to cover the distance between Wyre Forest Leisure Centre and Komazawa Olympic Park in Tokyo - 8208 miles. As a team of parents, swimmers and friends of the club we can accumulate miles via walking, running, cycling, scooting, hopping, skipping as long as it doesn't include using motorised aids.
Parents and swimmers can log their miles using the link below to Strava https://www.strava.com/clubs/886190
We have a £20 Voucher for the person who has contributed the most Miles.
GOOD LUCK – Will we get to Tokyo together before getting back to the pool? who will be our Olympic Challenge Champion
