Story
I’m organising a sponsored community walk in Crieff to help bring Scotland’s first Sensory & Illusion Activity Centre to life, supporting those who need it most.
I’m a local mum of two, including a child with a rare brain condition, and I’m creating What The Sense – Crieff Sensory & Illusion Activity Centre to give children and families something that simply doesn’t exist anywhere else in Scotland: a fully inclusive, multi-room centre designed for sensory regulation, neurodiversity and disability, offering SEN classes, dedicated sensory rooms, a sensory garden, bingo nights and evening entertainment, immersive illusion rooms, a kitchen and café space, plus VR and arcade experiences — all open to local families, schools, visitors and tourists, creating a fun, supportive and unforgettable place for learning, wellbeing and joy.

Following national media coverage and growing community support, Crieff is now stepping up through a 3.7 mile sponsored climb to the summit of Knock of crieff — one of the town’s most iconic and challenging landmarks. And return to MacRosty park. Taking roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes to get to Knock of crieff
This is a fully inclusive community walk, so people can join in at different points along the route:
• MacRosty Park
• The Knock Hill crieff
• MacRosty Park
Families, friends and supporters can meet us at MacRosty Park for the final stretch.
Whether you walk 1 mile or the full 3.7 miles, every step helps.
Every pound raised helps build a safer, fun, more inclusive future for children, families and adults with additional needs.
You’re not just donating — you’re helping Crieff build something extraordinary.
